00: Trailer
Hey, welcome to the Liberated Artist Podcast! I'm Mariana Durst, a marketing nerd who's helped hundreds of artists sell their art online. I'm so honored that you're here, and in this episode, I just want to give you a quick lay of the land of the perspective that I'm going to have throughout this entire podcast.
What is a liberated artist?
The liberated artists are bridges between art and entrepreneurship. They take the reins of their art's legacy into their own hands and do what it takes to get it seen and sold. However, they're also very aware that they need to protect their creative energy because without it, there is nothing else. And so when they go to share or market their work, they do so from a place of integrity, of awareness of their resources and boundaries, and of their story.
A liberated artist knows that it's hard work to put your art out there, but does it anyway, even if it feels vulnerable, if it feels unprepared, or if it feels scary.
A liberated artist isn't afraid to harvest the fruits of their labor within their lifetime. A liberated artist finds support when they need it and is always coming back home to their center to figure out what the next best step is.
A liberated artist has a finely honed intuition that works alongside their strategic brain to make decisions of how to move forward.
A liberated artist knows that shipping the work is part of doing the work and is not afraid to make it easy for their audience to connect with their work or their story.
And finally, liberated artists don't leave artistry at the door when it comes to running their creative business. They're not afraid to infuse their strategies and generate ideas with their unique artist's voice.
So now that we're on the same page of what it means to be a liberated artist, I want to say until next time, my name is Mariana Durst cheering for you on your own liberated artist journey.
